Locum Chartered Clinical/ Counselling Psychologist (up to 9 months) Working with Community Learning Disabilities Teams; • To provide a qualified specialist clinical/counselling psychology service (assessments, psychological therapies and other interventions) • To supervise and support the psychological assessment and therapy provided by psychologists in training. • Providing advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non-professional carers, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures. • To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service. General notes for all psychologist
HPC registered, you will need a doctorate in clinical or counselling psychology that is recognised by the British Psychological Society.
You should also have experience of undertaking assessments and interventions
All candidates must provide evidence of their right to work in the U.K. and posts are subject to an enhanced level of disclosure (police check). Under the terms of the Safeguarding Authority Vetting and Barring Scheme this will involve a check against the barred lists for children/vulnerable adults.
